Automotive Technology Program Overview

Learn by doing during your automotive mechanic training as you take on the maintenance and repair of both import and domestic vehicles. You'll train on everything from simple engine systems to power and performance machines. At select campuses, your training will also include a three-week Battery Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology course . This specialized course introduces you to high-voltage vehicle operations, electric vehicle components, and EV-specific diagnostics and service procedures.

Mechanic ASE Certification Training

UTI's Automotive Technician training program is accredited by the ASE Education Foundation, a division of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).16

Graduates of the program are well prepared to complete ASE examinations and can substitute their training for one year of the two years of experience required to test to become ASE certified.
