MIAT College of Technology, part of UTI’s family of schools, offers Aviation, Energy, Robotics & Automation, Welding, and HVACR training in Canton, Michigan. These programs are taught by passionate instructors who bring real-world experience into the classroom — helping to prepare you for a career.1 Graduates are ready to apply for entry-level roles in the industry, whether they’re in the local area or beyond.
MIAT’s Aviation mechanic programs are designed to equip you with the precision skills necessary to pursue entry-level roles in the aviation industry.1 Students have two programs to choose from at the Canton campus. MIAT's aviation technician programs are approved FAA curriculum and focus on Airframe and Powerplant certification. Students at MIAT College of Technology can obtain their A&P certificate in as little as 20 months.80
From wind installation technician to auxiliary operator, there are many potential career paths in the energy industry. MIAT offers three different energy training programs, which are designed to equip you with a foundation of skills that can help prepare you for an entry-level career in the field.1
Having an education in Robotics & Automation Technology can help open the door to careers in many different industries, from drafting and automotive to manufacturing and electro-mechanical technology.1 In this program, you’ll learn electrical design and troubleshooting, industrial robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems, and much more.
Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians play important roles in our world today. If pursuing a career in this industry sounds right for you, consider the 9-month HVACR training program available at the Canton campus.1
