UTI’s Miramar campus — coming in 2022 — will be the site where students can train to become part of the next generation of technicians in the diesel, automotive and welding industries.1 By learning from dedicated instructors along with using current technology and tools, UTI graduates feel prepared when pursuing careers. *Pending regulatory approval
UTI Miramar will offer three core programs that can each be completed in less than a year: Automotive Technology II, Diesel Technology II7 and Welding Technology.
The 51-week Automotive Technology program will provide training that covers repairs and diagnostics on a range of systems and parts. Graduates will be prepared to test for ASE certifications. Training from UTI can be substituted for one of the two years of work experience needed to become ASE certified.
The 45-week Diesel Technology program will give students the experience needed to service heavy-equipment systems, diesel engine components and commercial vehicles. Graduates will be prepared to take ASE exams and substitute training for one of the two years of work experience needed to become ASE certified.
The 36-week Welding Technology program created with Lincoln Electric focuses on the four main arc welding types in the industry so graduates can be prepared to pursue careers as combination welders.
