What is Motorcycle Specialized Training?
UTI’s motorcycle specialized training focuses on the systems, technology and service procedures specific to individual brands. These programs are manufacturer-specific, meaning students train on the same tools, components and diagnostic equipment used at brand dealerships and service centers.
Through manufacturer-approved coursework and instruction from industry-trained instructors, students learn brand-specific systems, ranging from fuel injection and electronic controls to advanced braking and suspension technologies.

Motorcycle Specialized Training Opportunities
After completing the Motorcycle Technician Prerequisite courses, students undergo specialized training on the brands that best fit their interests. Each program includes two to three manufacturer-specific training tracks, helping students build brand-specific skills with leading industry names.
Harley-Davidson® motorcycle training
The Harley-Davidson training curriculum includes the Late Model, Early Model and Screamin’ Eagle® courses. Students learn to service and maintain Harley-Davidson motorcycles using the latest diagnostic tools and equipment while gaining hands-on training with systems such as V-Twin engines, electronic controls and performance upgrades.
Suzuki FAST motorcycle training
The Factory Authorized Suzuki Training (FAST) program offers hands-on learning with Suzuki motorcycles. Students train on current models and gain knowledge in areas like engine performance, braking and suspension systems.

Kawasaki K-Tech motorcycle training
K-Tech students train with Kawasaki technology and systems found on sport, cruiser and off-road bikes. The program covers electrical systems, fuel injection, diagnostics and repair techniques specific to Kawasaki’s lineup.
Yamaha YamaPro motorcycle training
The Yamaha YamaPro track provides factory-authorized instruction on both on-road and off-road Yamaha models. Training includes mechanical and electrical systems, fuel management, and advanced diagnostics designed to meet Yamaha dealership standards.
Honda Hontech motorcycle training
Honda HonTech courses teach students to inspect, maintain and repair Honda motorcycles. The curriculum covers both on-road and off-road models and introduces the advanced technology that drives Honda’s performance and reliability.
BMW motorcycle training
Students in the BMW Motorrad track receive training aligned with BMW’s high-performance standards. This includes electrical and computer-controlled systems, braking technology, and diagnostic tools used by BMW service professionals.

Yes. Completion of the MTP program is required before you can begin manufacturer-specific training. This ensures you have the foundational knowledge needed for advanced coursework.
Program lengths vary by manufacturer, but most specialized curriculums can be completed in 12 weeks following the 18-week Motorcycle Technician Prerequisite training.
