At UTI’s Illinois trade school campus location, our program offerings include four distinct core programs: Automotive Technology, Diesel & Industrial Technology, Automotive/Diesel & Industrial Technology, and Welding Technology. We also offer a variety of specialized training programs through relationships with leading manufacturers like Ford, Toyota, Daimler Trucks North America, Fendt and Peterbilt.15
Looking for automotive training in the greater Chicago metropolitan area? UTI Lisle offers the 51-week Automotive Technology core program, as well as a variety of manufacturer-specific programs. In your core training program, you’ll gain a strong foundation of automotive knowledge — learning everything from diagnostics and drivability to power and performance. By the end of your training, you’ll be prepared to complete ASE examinations to become ASE certified.
The UTI Lisle campus also offers the 45-week Diesel Technology program. In this hands-on program, you’ll learn the fundamentals of truck brakes and chassis, preventive maintenance, diesel fuel systems, transportation refrigeration and more. From there, you can decide to continue your training with manufacturer-specific programs for top brands like Peterbilt, Fendt and Freightliner.11
In UTI’s Welding Technology program, you can complete your training in just 36 weeks. As a welding student at our Lisle campus, you’ll train using industry standard tools and technology, including VRTEX® virtual welders. Developed in conjunction with Lincoln Electric, our curriculum is designed to teach you four different welding processes in order to become a combination welder.
