UTI's welding school near Elgin, Illinois, provides hands-on training that can be completed in less than a year. Located southeast of Elgin, Illinois, in Lisle, UTI's nine-month Welding Technology program offers a hands-on curriculum that helps students acquire the welding skills employers look for in entry-level candidates. The program covers essential topics such as how to weld in the flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead, fixed and rolling positions, as well as how to use the equipment required for the four main types of arc welding processes:
