Learn how to repair and maintain the trucks, buses and heavy equipment powered by diesel engines. Our 51-week Diesel Technician program focuses on teaching you the skills needed to become a diesel tech.⁷

Interested in electricity? Learn electronic troubleshooting, electrical wiring and more in our 12-month program.¹³¹ UTI Salt Lake City also offers the Electrical, Electronics, & Industrial Management Technology program that runs 19 months, awarding graduates an associate degree.

UTI’s electrical training does not prepare graduates for employment as electricians, and graduates will not be eligible for certification as an electrician without additional training and meeting state licensing requirements.

Manufacturing facilities and energy plants rely on systems and machines to run properly. In our Electrical & Industrial Maintenance Technology program, you can learn how to repair and maintain these in just 10 months.¹³⁰

Starting with a foundation in construction-related electrical training, our Electrical, Robotics & Automation Technology program also teaches you robotics and automation skills needed for a technical career.¹³⁰ Graduate in just 12 months, or explore the 19-month Electrical, Robotics & Automation Management Technology program that results in an associate degree.
