Universal Technical Institute offers hands-on electrical technician training in Salt Lake City, Utah.130 There are two program options at this campus. The key difference comes down to duration and the credential you earn. Both programs help aspiring professionals build practical skills in electrical systems, electronics, motors, controls and troubleshooting. Through hands-on lab training, students can practice working with tools, technology and systems designed to reflect the kind of equipment used across electrical and industrial settings.
Note UTI’s electrical programs do not prepare graduates for employment as electricians, and graduates will not be eligible for certification as an electrician without additional training and meeting state licensing requirements.

Students also can earn OSHA-10, CPR/AED through the American Heart Association (AHA), and up to five National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) credentials. These NCCER credentials include Core, Electrical Levels 1 and 2, and Electronic Systems Technician Levels 3 and 4.
Students who want to pursue an associate degree can also explore UTI Salt Lake City’s 19-month Electrical, Electronics, & Industrial Management Technology program. This degree pathway includes added coursework that builds broader knowledge and skills.
