If you're interested in preparing for a career as an automotive or diesel technician, our UTI Long Beach campus is bordered by four freeways, making it convenient for students in Los Angeles and Orange counties. The campus is also close to many of the dealerships and repair shops that need skilled graduates.1
In the 51-week Automotive Technology program, you’ll work on everything from simple engine systems to power and performance machines. As a graduate from UTI Long Beach, you earn an associate degree and can be prepared to test for ASE certification.
If you love working on big engines, you’ll feel right at home in the 45-week Diesel Technology program at UTI Long Beach. Graduates earn a diploma or associate degree, depending on their chosen specialty, and are prepared to complete ASE examinations.
Created in conjunction with I-CAR, a leading brand in the industry, the Collision Repair & Refinish Technology (CRRT) program can teach you how to reshape and restore a wide range of vehicles. Upon completion of the program, you’ll earn a diploma as well as valuable I-CAR certificates.
As a student in the Welding Technology training program, which was developed in conjunction with Lincoln Electric, you can train and graduate in less than nine months. Graduates of the program at UTI Long Beach earn diplomas and are prepared to test for welding certifications.

A graduate of UTI’s Automotive or Diesel programs accredited by the ASE Education Foundation can substitute his or her training for one year of work experience toward ASE’s two-year work requirement.
UTI Long Beach awards Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degrees to Automotive Technology II and Automotive/Diesel Technology II graduates. All other graduates receive diplomas.
As one of two UTI campuses to offer the Collision Repair & Refinish Technology training program, graduates can earn up to 10 I-CAR recognitions and certificates.
