SHANE CAREY
"Although our business has been growing, it’s been getting harder to find technicians. We need people who are trained to service Ford vehicles, as well as technicians to work in our Quick Lane doing simple preventative maintenance and repairs on all makes and models. UTI has been a great resource for us and I value my relationship with the team at UTI."

WHERE IS UTI'S FORD FACT TRAINING OFFERED?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Ford FACT (Ford Accelerated Credential Training) program is a Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training (MSAT) program offered at UTI. Designed in partnership with Ford Motor Company, this program allows students to gain hands-on training and classroom instruction focused on Ford and Lincoln vehicles. FACT builds on UTI’s core Automotive Technology program, allowing students to complete up to 80% of Ford’s Service Technician Specialty Training (STST) requirements, helping them stand out when applying for roles at Ford and Lincoln dealerships.
For students interested in working at a Ford or Lincoln dealership, the Ford FACT program can be a valuable step toward achieving that goal. It offers brand-specific training, access to manufacturer-grade tools, and experience working on the latest vehicle technology. Graduates may be better prepared to enter the workforce with a competitive edge, especially in dealerships seeking technicians familiar with Ford systems and diagnostics. While outcomes vary, the training may help open doors to more specialized job opportunities.
The Ford FACT program is typically 15 weeks long and is available to students who have completed UTI’s Automotive Technology program.8 During this time, students receive in-depth, Ford-specific training that covers systems such as electrical, steering and suspension, engine repair, and hybrid technology—helping them prepare for entry-level positions within Ford’s dealer network.
After completing the Ford FACT program, graduates may pursue entry-level roles at Ford or Lincoln dealerships, such as:
- Ford/Lincoln Maintenance Technician
- Express Service Technician
- Light Repair Technician
- Ford Certified Technician
The Ford FACT program is designed to prepare students to work directly with Ford vehicles and may provide a foundation for career growth in the dealership network.1
Students in the Ford FACT program gain hands-on training on late-model Ford and Lincoln vehicles. This includes exposure to a variety of systems, such as EcoBoost® engines, hybrid/electric vehicle technology and advanced diagnostics. UTI’s labs are equipped with industry-standard tools and equipment, allowing students to train in an environment that closely mirrors real-world dealership settings.
