Aviation Training Program Overview

Our aviation mechanic school provides hands-on aviation training that teaches you the fundamentals of air science. You’ll take a series of airframe and powerplant courses that can help you prepare for entry-level jobs in the industry.


The 20-month Airframe and Powerplant program offered at UTI's Canton campus focuses on topics like aircraft troubleshooting, powerplant lubrication systems and turbine engine operation. Graduates earn certificates.


Students at Canton who complete the Airframe and Powerplant Technician program can continue studying in the Aviation Maintenance Technology program to earn earn Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees.


Graduates of both the Airframe & Powerplant and Aviation Maintenance Technology program are prepared to test for the Airframe and Powerplant FAA Certification.79.128


Both programs are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
