NASCAR Technical Institute, part of UTI’s family of schools, has been training technicians since 2002. NASCAR Tech’s Automotive Technology program is designed to help prepare students for entry-level roles in the auto industry.1 Students gain a foundation of knowledge and skills they can build on as they advance in their careers. Throughout the course of 48 weeks, students complete both online instructor-led training with hands-on application in the lab, which is part of UTI’s blended learning model. This can help prepare them for the type of training technicians receive in the field today.

Graduates of the Automotive Technology program at NASCAR Tech earn associate of occupational studies (AOS) degrees as symbols of their training. They’re also prepared to go on to test for ASE certifications, which are highly valued by the industry. They can even substitute their training for one of the two years of work experience required to become ASE certified.
