WELDING TRAINING NEAR HOLLYWOOD, FL

UTI’s Miramar, FL, welding school is approximately 13 miles west of Hollywood. The 36-week Welding training program aims to help students understand the procedures and equipment used in the industry.

Students learn four main arc welding processes — gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).

Guided by experienced instructors, students train using state-of-the-industry tools and equipment, helping prepare them to pursue roles in the field.

Automotive Technician School

UTI Miramar’s automotive technician school is a 51-week program¹ that equips students with the skills needed to maintain, diagnose and repair automobiles and their components using current industry technology.

After completing their core automotive studies, eligible students can pursue one of our automotive Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training programs found at other UTI campuses nationwide, or start pursuing entry-level careers in the industry.

Diesel Technician School

UTI Miramar’s diesel technician school is a 45-week program⁷ designed to give students the skills they need to confidently pursue entry-level roles in this field.

Developed with assistance from industry professionals, the program provides students with hands-on training¹⁸ on diesel engines and equipment seen in the field. Upon graduation, participants will be able to maintain, diagnose, repair and test various diesel engines and components. And students can choose to further their education by applying for specialized diesel training programs found at other UTI campuses across the nation.

Others go on to pursue entry-level careers as diesel technicians, heavy equipment repair technicians, or power generation technicians.⁷⁷

Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic School

UTI Miramar’s airframe and powerplant school⁷⁹ has been designed to be an 18-month program that doesn’t require any previous experience to attend.

Students receive hands-on training from experienced instructors who help them develop the skills many employers look for in entry-level candidates.¹ Courses include Reciprocating Engine Inspection and Overhaul, Powerplant Lubrication and Propellers, Turbine Designs and Operations, and more.

Upon graduation, students can pursue entry-level aviation mechanic roles.
