There’s a nationwide shortage of technicians, and employers are going to great lengths to recruit and retain talent, including graduates of UTI. The Tuition Reimbursement Incentive Program (TRIP)14 was created to help companies attract top technicians by drawing attention to employers offering various incentives. These may include:

    • Tuition reimbursement for all or a portion of your student loan payments
    • Relocation assistance to help you move to the area where the employer is located
    • Tool allowances for the purchase of needed tools
    • Sign-on bonuses as incentives to accept employment offers

What TRIP Could Include

TRIP incentives vary depending on the employer and the person being hired. Here are a few examples of packages offered to graduates:

The tuition reimbursement is awesome because I don’t have to worry about taking money from my paycheck. Whatever they give me per month for my tuition reimbursement goes straight towards repaying my tuition, so I’m not really losing any money in the process.
