ITEP OVERVIEW

UTI teams with Navistar to bring students this intensive training featuring bumper-to-bumper instruction on International brand vehicles. As a diesel technician, you are the lifeblood of the manufacturer’s business, which is why Navistar fully certifies graduates of ITEP to perform warranty work. It could help set you apart from the competition to potential employers.

THE MANUFACTURER-PAID INTERNATIONAL ITEP PROGRAM IS A SELECTIVE, INVITATION-ONLY, 15-WEEK PROGRAM THAT IS VALUED BY INTERNATIONAL DEALERS.

  • 2010 MaxxForce DT 9 & 10 and 2014 N9 & N10 Engine Diagnostics using ServiceMaxx

STATE-OF-THE INDUSTRY TRAINING

Navistar recently added four hands-on certifications to ITEP, including:

  • Introduction to Multiplexing and Diamond Logic® Builder (2-day)
  • HVAC (4-day)
  • 2010 MaxxForce DT9 & DT10 and 2014 N9 & N10 (4-day)
  • 2010 MaxxForce 11 & 13 and N13 (4-day)

HOW TO QUALIFY

Admission to the 15-week International ITEP program is highly selective and by invitation only, with tuition paid by the manufacturer.15 As a result, the program is highly valued by International dealers. Acceptance to this MSAT program is offered only to those that have a high GPA, strong attendance and a clean motor vehicle record. You must also pass a drug test and interview.

Core Program Training

Completion of UTI’s Diesel Technology core curriculum or other post-secondary NATEF Certified program.

Grade Point Average

Students will need to have achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher at a post-secondary diesel program to be eligible to enter into the ITEP program.

Attendance

Students will need to have achieved a 95% or higher attendance rate at a post-secondary diesel program to be eligible to enter into the ITEP program.

Driving Record

Students must hold a valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violations within the past three years. Students with DUI convictions will not be eligible for the ITEP program.

Drug Test

Students must pass a drug test prior to starting the ITEP program.
