TRADE SCHOOL FOR VETERANS
At UTI, we understand that cost and the ability to utilize your veteran benefits can be a deciding factor when it comes to choosing a school for your postsecondary training. Our Financial Aid representatives are well-versed to help you navigate your VA benefits while in school. In fact, most of our Military Admissions Representatives are U.S. veterans themselves.
GI BILL® AND VETERAN BENEFITS
UTI is one of the country’s GI Bill® approved trade schools. A veteran point of contact at every campus can assist you in applying your GI Bill® and other VA benefits to the cost of your tuition.21
SALUTE TO SERVICE GRANT
UTI offers a 10% tuition discount through the Salute to Service Grant to honorably discharged and general under honorable discharged veterans.22
FINANCIAL AID
We encourage all students to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine if they qualify to receive additional funding for school. We’re here to help you with this process.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM (TRIP)
Through UTI’s TRIP program, employers can offer our graduates tool purchase assistance, student loan repayment assistance and sign-on bonuses.14
ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Veterans can take advantage of scholarships, grants and other financial support made available through various organizations such as the TechForce Foundation.

Our connections give students access to industry tools and technologies, as well as opportunities to get the attention of companies participating in our Early Employment Program (EEP).36
We understand that a common concern among many students is whether they will be able to work while they complete their training. At each UTI campus nationwide, we have local employment specialists to help assist you with searching for part-time employment that can help cover living expenses without getting in the way of your studies. If your family will be relocating with you, they can utilize our career search services as well.
UTI also offers career assistance to graduates. We have a team of specialists who work with distributors, national dealerships and employers across the country to find potential jobs for new graduates. Additionally, you can be in contact with our Career Services team long after graduation. In addition to our core training programs, UTI offers Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training programs that were created in conjunction with leading manufacturers.15 Many students choose to complete a specialized training program after their core program, which can open the door to more career opportunities.
