Hands-on training is structured to follow CDC, state, and local guidelines. Here's what that looks like:
Hands-on lab training at the campus will be paired with Google Classroom online instructor-led lectures and demonstrations. Online lectures will continue to be available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Once completed, students can review their online materials and refresh their knowledge as often as they like as they continue through their training program.
Going forward we will offer a blended training approach, with online instructor-led lectures and demonstrations coupled with hands-on labs on campus.
While many students have said that they want to get back to training in hands-on labs, we understand that some students may feel uncomfortable returning to campus at this time. We are ready to welcome them back but we want to ensure they are comfortable with the timing of their return.
If students would like to continue taking the instructor-led lectures and demonstrations online but would prefer to return to campus for labs at a later date, they can choose to do so.
Our graduates are needed to fill jobs vital to keeping the country on the road forward.1 The technicians we train support the infrastructure that delivers critical goods and supplies to the public. That includes the transportation, construction, manufacturing, supply, materials, food services, and fabrication sectors.
Many employers need to hire technicians now. That's why we're working to ensure we can offer hands-on training that follows CDC, state, and local health guidance at our campuses as soon as possible.
Our primary focus is the health and safety of our students and staff while on campus. If you are a current student and you have questions about our hands-on training, please email our Student Services team at campus_support@uti.edu.
