Nestled within the heart of the town, you’ll find UTI Bloomfield — a 108,000-square-foot campus that prepares students for exciting careers in the automotive, diesel and welding industries.¹ Just like any other Universal Technical Institute campus, Bloomfield is committed to serving its students and providing them with the training they need to pursue their passion. However, this campus also has a set of unique qualities that its students, staff and faculty know and love.

About UTI Bloomfield

UTI Bloomfield might be one of UTI’s newer campuses, but it has certainly made a big impact since its opening in 2018. The campus offers UTI’s Automotive, Diesel and Welding core programs in addition to the Ford Accelerated Credential Training (FACT) program for those who want to further their education with manufacturer-specific training.

Students who choose to attend UTI Bloomfield train in classrooms and labs fully equipped with state-of-the-industry tools and technology. Courses are led by passionate instructors with real-world experience, giving students an inside look at what it’s like to pursue a career in the field.

Why New Jersey?

So why did UTI decide to open a campus in Bloomfield? Just like in many other places, the demand for skilled technicians is high in New Jersey. The city is full of opportunities, and opening a campus in Bloomfield has benefited both students and employers in the area.

Located conveniently off Exit 151 of the Garden State Parkway, this campus is in a prime location that many students are able to easily commute to. It is also located in the backyard of many of the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) the school partners with. Having headquarters of leading manufacturers close by means more opportunities for students.

Bloomfield has a small-town feel, yet is also located close to major hubs like New York City, which is about a 25-minute trip away by train. It’s the best of both worlds! We could go on and on about all there is to do in the New York, but you just might have to visit for yourself.   

Going Above and Beyond for Students

In addition to providing students with exceptional training, Bloomfield is committed to providing students with the support they need to succeed. The campus helps students work through life challenges and offers a variety of community resources that can help them focus on their studies.

The Bloomfield campus also emphasizes the importance of students gaining industry experience while completing their program. Bloomfield’s Support Services department goes above and beyond to help students find jobs that provide them with valuable real-world experience that can contribute to their success.

More Than Just a School

Students work hard in the classroom and labs, and Bloomfield hosts a variety of on-campus events! From hot cocoa bars to game day football parties, there’s always something going on. These activities allow students to connect with one another and create memories they will cherish forever.

Additionally, Bloomfield makes an effort to serve the local community. The campus hosts summer car shows in partnership with the township to promote the importance of family fun in the community. This teaches students to try to make a positive impact on the community around them.

What’s Next for Bloomfield?

As the Bloomfield campus continues to grow, its goal is to get their name out there as much as possible to reach students and employers in the area. The campus has accomplished incredible things in its first few years, and it will be exciting to watch all of the amazing things it does in the years to come.
