Housing While You Attend Universal Technical Institute’s Avondale Campus

At the Avondale campus, Student Services teams with Compass Rose Student Housing Services (CRSH) to assist students who need help securing housing. CRSH provides a full range of housing services and works closely with students to determine the best options. Below are the services available to assist in your relocation.

SHARED HOUSING

Compass Rose Student Housing Services (CRSH) offers a shared housing program in full-size apartments that are typically within 10 miles of campus. Apartment rent, furniture, basic utilities and roommate matching are all included in your monthly housing payment. All students are on individual leases, which locks in pricing that isn’t impacted by roommates.

The typical setup is four students in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. Some CRSH arrangements allow for private rooms or 21-and-older options.

INDEPENDENT HOUSING

All other housing is considered independent. This might be qualifying for an apartment on your own or renting a room.

This option tends to be more expensive, so make sure to budget appropriately before you arrive at school. That will make your transition more comfortable.

A little about us…

Public transportation

Valley Metro provides public transportation in and around Avondale via a traditional public bus system and a reduced-fare, in-city-only system called Zoom. The traditional public bus system allows users to travel from the city of Avondale to any other city in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Monthly bus passes for this system can be purchased in the campus Accounting Office. The Zoom bus system provides service to and from Avondale and the nearby city of Goodyear. You can access the routes for both public transportation systems on the Valley Metro website.
