UTI’s Long Beach, CA trade school is approximately 21 miles from Santa Ana and has automotive, diesel, welding, collision repair and airframe and powerplant technician training programs.
Our campus has 10 state-of-the-industry labs outfitted with many of the tools, technologies and equipment found in each field. Experienced instructors lead the training programs, helping students build a strong technical skillset that future employers can further develop!1

Airframe & Powerplant program coming to UTI Long Beach pending FAA approval.79
Students of the Long Beach auto mechanic training program can graduate with Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degrees in just 51 weeks.7 Through a combination of online instruction and hands-on practice, students learn to maintain, diagnose, and repair various automobiles, gaining the knowledge needed to test for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification after graduation.
UTI’s Long Beach diesel mechanic school also helps prepare students to test for ASE certification after graduation. For 45 weeks, students practice inspecting, repairing and overhauling diesel-powered equipment.7 At the end of their training, graduates receive a diploma.
The curriculum taught at UTI's Long Beach welding school was developed in conjunction with industry leader Lincoln Electric. From the four types of arc welding to safety standards, engineering and fabrication — 36 weeks of courses help students gain the confidence they need to pursue entry-level careers.1
Long Beach collision repair trade school students spend 51 to 54 weeks covering topics such as panel repair, welding and cutting, damage analysis, custom paint fundamentals and more. I-CAR, the provider of industry-standard training, assisted us in crafting our curriculum, which grants students the chance to earn I-CAR credentials throughout their studies.
Long Beach airframe and powerplant training is coming to our campus pending FAA approval. The 18-month program helps prepare students to service aircraft through courses like Basic and Advanced Sheetmetal, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Basic Electricity and more.79
The automotive technical school at UTI Long Beach offers eligible students the chance to grow their skillset through manufacturer-specific advanced training (MSAT) with BMW.8
