The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) notes that diesel employers may favor candidates who have attended a postsecondary institution as they graduate with practical experience and a foundational understanding of diesel technology.

Prepare to become ASE certified

UTI's diesel training program prepares students for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification exam. As an ASE Education Foundation-accredited program, our training aligns with the organization's standards.¹⁶ Graduates can even substitute their training for one of the two years of hands-on experience required to test!

Once students complete their core courses, they may be interested in specialized training. UTI Houston offers Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training (MSAT) with Cummins Engines.
