Expand your knowledge in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR, also referred to as HVAC) in Houston, Texas, a bustling city filled with entertainment, live events and great eats. HVACR TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATIONS OFFERED
HVACR certifications can be valuable to have when entering the job market. There are several types of certifications that students can prepare to test for through our HVACR school. Some tests can include:

- North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Core exams

HVACR SCHOOL COURSES IN HOUSTON, TX

Basic Refrigeration Systems
This course teaches students the basic components of refrigeration systems and their accessories. They'll also learn about different types of refrigerants and their impact on the environment.
Commercial Refrigeration I
In this course students learn about system configurations, high and low side components and piping. They'll practice on walk-in coolers, ice machines and commercial refrigerators.
HVAC Core & Basic Electricity
Students are introduced to electrical theory and principles and their application to HVACR systems. This course also introduces DC and AC circuit operation and electrical fundamentals.
Electric Motors, OSHA
Students learn about electrical safety and how to use a variety of electrical, pressure and temperature measuring devices. They also learn the fundamentals of electrical motor operation including troubleshooting and repair.
Air Conditioning Systems I
Students learn the principles of ductless and central air-conditioning systems, as well as absorption and evaporative cooling and the operation of components and their locations.
Heating Systems I
This class expands on what was learned in Air Conditioning Systems I, exposing students to humidity control, thermostats, heating and cooling loads. This course also familiarizes students with air conditioning installation, troubleshooting and service.
