UTI Houston’s 30-week wind turbine training provides hands-on training that mirrors how pros learn in the field.

Over the course of the Wind Turbine Technician training program, students are taught the skills they need to pursue entry-level positions after graduation. Our Texas trade school is located a little over an hour away from Galveston, Texas.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for wind power technicians in the United States was $61,770 in May 2023.⁶¹ This means half earned more and half earned less. Keep in mind that salary depends on several factors, including experience, employer, demand and cost of living in the area.

Our grads are prepared to pursue entry-level roles. As with any industry, over time, technicians may be able to advance in their careers with experience and hard work. Examples of some entry-level and advanced roles include:⁷⁷
