Universal Technical Institute in Houston is a Texas trade school that equips its students with essential industry knowledge and practical skills necessary for a career in wind energy.¹ After seven months, our wind turbine school grads can pursue entry-level roles in the field!

UTI Houston is dedicated to preparing students for opportunities in the wind energy industry through the Wind Turbine Technician program. Our wind turbine training curriculum emphasizes a hands-on learning approach, providing industry-aligned tools and technology to ensure students gain practical training in installing, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing wind turbines. Graduates earn diplomas.

Skilled wind turbine technicians are in demand. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts more than 2,000 estimated average annual wind turbine technician job openings in the United States.⁶⁹
