Exciting announcement alert: Universal Technical Institute (UTI) has opened a new trade school campus in Miramar, Florida! Now you have more options than ever for pursuing automotive technician training, diesel technician training or welder training.

Where Is Miramar, FL?

Miramar is about 25 miles from downtown Miami. According to the city’s official website, Miramar has been recognized as a 2021 All-America City Award national winner and a 2021 and 2022 Smart City Award national winner.

When you’re not studying in UTI Miramar’s automotive trade school, diesel trade school or welding trade school, there’s plenty to do. The city offers:

  • More than 40 parks maintained by the Miramar Parks and Recreation Department
  • Four recreational facilities with fitness classes and diverse community programs
  • Two large swimming facilities and numerous tennis facilities
  • Ansin Sports Complex, a 24-acre complex that includes an Olympic-size running track, basketball courts, batting cages and a soccer/football field

What to Expect at UTI Miramar

UTI Miramar offers three core programs:

  • Automotive Technology: Train to become an automotive technician in this 51-week program. That’s right — you can graduate in less than a year to pursue an automotive tech career.7
  • Diesel Technology: Learn how to work on heavy-duty diesel equipment, repair diesel commercial vehicles and more. Graduate in just 45 weeks.

Students can train to become entry-level welders at UTI’s newest campus in Miramar, Florida.

  • Welding Technology: Get hands-on welding training in the four main arc welding processes in this 36-week program. Train to work in diverse industries like manufacturing, construction, transportation and more.
