Get the training and qualifications to begin a technician career with one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers in 14 weeks. And as a graduate of the program, you'll have a major jump start to earning your Master Volvo Technician status.

SAFE training is exclusive training. You must apply, meet certain qualifications, be interviewed, and then be accepted to become one of the Volvo elite. And once selected, tuition is paid for by VOLVO CAR USA LLC or participating dealerships in accordance with established terms of employment.


The Volvo SAFE program offers 12 factory credentials recognized at Volvo dealers around the country and student records are entered into Volvo’s national technician database.
Admission is not guaranteed. To be eligible, students must successfully complete UTI’s core training program and meet certain Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training terms and conditions. This program is offered by UTI’s Custom Training Group and is not part of UTI’s accreditation.

  • Electrical Fault Tracing
  • Volvo Safety Systems (including animal, pedestrian and bicycle safety systems)
  • Anti-lock Brakes and Traction Control
  • Volvo Climate Systems
  • Volvo Engines
  • Volvo Automatic Transmissions (including R&R of a transmission)
  • Body/Interior Electrical Systems
  • T-8 Hybrid (Gas and Electric Vehicle)
  • Volvo S90 with Auto Pilot
