UTI’s diesel training program is in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, just west of San Bernardino. The program practices a blended learning model to match the type of ongoing training diesel techs typically encounter in the field.18 Students spend a portion of their time learning online and a portion of their time practicing in industry-standard labs.
For 45 weeks, students are trained in maintaining and repairing diesel-powered equipment found in a variety of industries, including agriculture, power generation and trucking and transportation.7 After graduation, students can pursue entry-level diesel technician careers or specialized training at one of UTI’s nationwide campuses!77

At UTI Rancho Cucamonga, diesel school graduates are awarded diplomas. Graduates who complete the Automotive & Diesel Technology combination program earn associate of occupational studies (AOS) degrees.
In addition to a graduation document, graduates can substitute their training for one of the two years of work experience required to test for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification!
