Acquire the skills needed to pursue entry-level automotive positions such as automotive technician, smog inspector, service writer or parts associate.77 The 51-week Automotive Technology program not only prepares students to take ASE certification exams after graduating, but it also enables them to substitute their training for one of the two years of hands-on experience required to test.7
The 45-week Diesel Technology program provides students with the knowledge needed to seek out entry-level careers like diesel technician, heavy equipment repair mechanic, agricultural technician or power generation technician.7,77 The curriculum encompasses topics such as engine service and repair and brakes and chassis, readying students to test for ASE certification after graduation.
Familiarize yourself with combination welding in a mere 36 weeks. UTI’s Welding Technology program grants students the opportunity to build and hone their arc welding skills through a practical curriculum developed with help from industry-leader Lincoln Electric.
In the 30-week Industrial Maintenance Technology program, students develop skills required to maintain and repair machines that drive diverse industries, including solar, coal, gas and nuclear. Courses cover topics like DC and AC electrical theory, electrical and industrial controls and turbine operations, preparing students for entry-level industrial maintenance tech positions.1
