UTI's Rancho Cucamonga automation training prepares students for a career in the construction trades or robotics! Our graduates are prepared to complete day-to-day robotics and automation technician duties such as:

  • Develop, test and maintain robotics and machines.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and build robotics machines and systems.
  • Use software and 3D printers to complete tasks. 

Critical skills covered 

Our program features hands-on courses that start with construction-focused electrical skills, which include circuits and residential wiring. Job Opportunities for Robotics and Automation Technicians

There is a wide variety of industries that have a need for robotics technicians. Our electrical, robotics and automation training can help prepare you for a career in construction, transportation, manufacturing, electronics and so much more! Grads who have completed the program are prepared to pursue entry-level roles. Just like with any industry, hard work and experience may help them advance in their career over time.

Some entry-level roles besides robotics and automation technician may include machine specialist or control systems engineer.77 Advanced roles could be process control tech, testing engineering technician or robotics engineer.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for robotics and automation technicians in the United States was $70,760 in May 2024.59 Keep in mind that salary is determined by several factors, including experience, employer, demand and location.
