Housing While You Attend Universal Technical Institute’s Exton Campus
At the Exton, Pennsylvania, campus, Student Services teams with Collegiate Housing Services (CHS) to assist students who need help securing housing. CHS provides a full range of housing services and works closely with students to determine the best options. Below are the services available to assist in your relocation.
SHARED HOUSING
Collegiate Housing Services (CHS) offers a shared housing program in full-size apartments that are typically within 10 miles of campus. Apartment rent, furniture, basic utilities and roommate matching are all included in your monthly housing payment. All students are on individual leases, which locks in pricing that isn’t impacted by roommates.
The typical setup is four students in a two-bedroom apartment. Some CHS arrangements allow for private rooms or 21-and-older options.

REFERRAL HOUSING
Want to live on your own or with friends and manage the rent, utilities and daily ins-and-outs? The Collegiate Housing Services apartment locator program might be your answer.
CHS has a list of prescreened apartment communities near your campus. In most cases, they’ve worked out favorable rental rates for students leasing apartments. The program allows you to rent your own place from the apartment community and then you are responsible for your own roommates, shared rent payment, furniture and utilities.
With the exception of rooms for rent, this option tends to be more expensive and typically requires good credit or a cosigner, so make sure to budget appropriately before you arrive for school.

A little about us
UTI Exton is located about 35 miles west of Philadelphia in the beautiful suburbs of Chester County. Chester County’s rich history has made it a popular spot for communities and industries. With many local towns and cities surrounding the campus, you can spend your time enjoying local state parks, nearby racetracks, shopping and more.
Public transportation
There are limited public transportation options for the UTI Exton campus. However, the Exton area is well served by a network of highways and has train stations served by SEPTA Regional Rail and Kraft bus transit. Students attending UTI Exton can utilize a shuttle service that provides transportation to campus from the Center City district in Philadelphia and back.* This is a great opportunity for those who wish to use an alternate mode of transportation or reduce their carbon footprint! The school also maintains a carpool list, which contains the names of students who are willing to carpool.
