FENDT TECHNICIAN ACADEMY OVERVIEW

Prepare to become an agricultural mechanic with UTI’s 8-week Fendt Technician Academy Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training (MSAT). Graduates earn Level 1-3 Fendt Wheeled Tractor Certification. Students accepted into the manufacturer-paid program15 learn how to work on tractors from Fendt, part of the AGCO Corporation. This agricultural equipment is sold by hundreds of Fendt dealers throughout North America. An added feature of the program is housing costs are covered.

EXCLUSIVE FENDT TECHNICIAN ACADEMY PROVIDER

Universal Technical Institute (UTI) is the only school in the United States to provide the manufacturer-paid Fendt Technician Academy, which includes housing costs coverage.

SMALL CLASS SIZES

Classes are limited to 12 to 15 students for a hands-on experience and small instructor-to-student ratio. Courses are taught by Fendt-certified program instructors who bring real-world industry experience to the program.

FENDT CERTIFICATIONS

Upon completion of the program, graduates earn Level 1-3 Fendt Wheeled Tractor Certification.

AGRICULTURAL MECHANIC CLASSES

INTRODUCTION TO FENDT

Learn about Fendt tractor history and innovations, information systems and equipment, model identification, operations and maintenance services, and the 10-step customer/machine resolution process.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM & TESTING

Participate in an electrical boot camp, learn about the CAN network and master Fendt tractor controller ID subjects. Get experience with calibrations, troubleshooting and practical applications.

DEUTZ AND MAN ENGINES

Learn about engine specifications, engine ID and basic engine structure, and testing and diagnostics on engine systems. Subjects covered include lubrication, cooling, air induction, fuel, exhaust and aftertreatment.

POWERTRAINS VARIO TRANSMISSION

Get a component overview and theory of operation, CVT insert training, and training on VarioDrive operation, drive lines and brakes.

HYDRAULICS TESTING AND DIAGNOSTICS

Students learn about operation/system flow and hydraulic pressures. Coursework also covers pneumatic systems and pressure testing.

FUSE TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS

The program concludes with training on the Fendt Auto-Guide, the Fendt Task Doc/Pro and Fendt Connect systems.

AGRICULTURAL MECHANIC COURSES

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR AGRICULTURAL MECHANIC TRAINING

Fendt Technician Academy provides advanced training to work for Fendt tractor dealerships. Here’s what you’ll need to do in order to be considered for program admission:

Core Program Training

• Minimum high school graduate or GED

• Completion of UTI's core Diesel Technology curriculum

Employment Commitment

• If accepted, sign a commitment contract with AGCO Corporation for a minimum one year of employment at a Fendt dealership

Grade Point Average

• Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the duration of core diesel training

Drug & Background Checks

• If accepted, pass drug and background checks
