UTI Canton's 20-month Airframe and Powerplant Technician training program teaches students to maintain and repair aircraft, preparing them for careers in the aviation indsutry.⁷⁹ Grads of this program can continue studying to earn an associate of applied science (AAS) degree at UTI Canton, or apply and test for Airframe & Plant FAA certification.¹²⁸

The seven-month Wind Power Technician training program teaches students the skills needed to pursue careers in renewable energy. Courses cover topics like energy industrial fundamentals, climb and rescue and wind turbine opeartion. Graduates of this program can pursue an AAS degree at UTI Canton or entry-level roles in the field!

The Industrial Maintenance Technician program takes just seven months to complete. Students get hands-on practice maintaining and repairing the powerful machinery that fuel various industries. Program topics include electrical theory, industrial heating and cooling, boiler operations and more! Graduates can go onto to earn an AAS degree or begin pursuing entry-level positions in industries like gas and coal.

Gain the electrical, mechanical, and programming skills needed to pursue exciting roles like robotics and automation technician or control systems technician in less than a year. Upon completion, you can continue studying and earn an AAS degree or begin applying to roles in diverse industries, including automotive, consumer goods and manufacturing.⁷

The HVACR Technician certificate program at UTI in Canton spans nine months. It provides students with the chance to build their theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Students have the opportunity to earn up to three types of certification.

Learn the four major arc welding processes used across industries in just nine months. Students of this program practice the GTAW, GMAW, SMAW and FCAW processes in a hands-on environment, so that they can graduate with the confidence to pursue entry-level roles in the field!
