MIAT in Canton provides two distinct Aviation programs: 20-month Airframe & Powerplant Technician training and 24-month Aviation Maintenance Technology training.

Both programs teach aircraft servicing skills, which can help graduates who pursue industry opportunities.⁷⁹ Depending on the program, they can earn a certificate or an associate of applied science (AAS) degree.

At MIAT's Canton campus, students can enroll in an Energy Technology program that stretches over 16 months. This program aims to help equip students with hands-on technician skills and teach them current practices in the field of energy.

MIAT’s Canton location has two program options for those interested in Robotics & Automation. The certificate program lasts 12 months. The Robotics & Automation AAS degree program, which includes general education courses, lasts 18 months.

These programs are designed for students to learn industry knowledge and help them develop their technician skill sets. Our hands-on training emphasizes automation to teach students how to configure automated and robotic systems using electrical, mechanical and programming skills. Depending on the program they complete, graduates can earn a certificate or an AAS degree.

The HVACR Technician certificate program at MIAT in Canton spans nine months. It provides students with the chance to build their theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Students have the opportunity to earn up to three types of certification.
