MIAT offers two unique programs focused on aviation: 20-month Airframe & Powerplant Technician training and 24-month Aviation Maintenance Technology training.

Both programs help equip graduates with necessary aircraft servicing skills, preparing them to pursue opportunities in the industry.⁷⁹ Depending on the program they complete, graduates can earn a certificate or an associate of applied science (AAS) degree.

MIAT's Canton location offers a 16-month Energy Technology program. This program is designed to teach students practical technician skills while also keeping them up to date on current energy technology practices. Graduates earn AAS degrees.

At MIAT's location in Canton, students have the opportunity to participate in two distinct programs centered around Robotics & Automation. The Robotics & Automation Technician training program spans over a period of 12 months. The Robotics & Automation Technology program includes general education courses and extends an additional six months, making it an 18-month program culminating in an AAS degree.

These programs are designed to help students learn current industry practices, allowing them to hone their skills as technicians. Hands-on training is emphasized, particularly in the field of automation. This enables our students to learn how to configure automated and robotic systems by getting trained in electrical, mechanical and programming skills.

MIAT Canton's HVACR Technician certificate program spans nine months and aims to teach students the understanding and hands-on skills essential for the upkeep and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Students have the opportunity to earn up to three types of certification.
