Re-Enroll Grant Overview

Objective

To provide Re-enroll Grants for students who are returning to Universal Technical Institute campuses with demonstrated financial need and minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 from their prior enrollment. The grant will be available to all students who meet the eligibility criteria as defined below; there is no separate application process. The grant award will be $1000 and will be available to students who are returning from a withdrawn status to the same department group. Students re-enrolling after a prior graduated status are not eligible.

Criteria for Awarding the Grant

Eligibility will be based on CGPA and financial need as determined by the Student Aid Index (SAI), which is calculated by the US Dept. of Education as a result of a student completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be eligible, students must re-enroll and return to school between August 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026, have an SAI of 100,000 or less, and have a minimum CGPA of 2.0. Full eligibility details are listed below.

Eligibility Details

  • Eligible students will forfeit their grant eligibility and/or award if they do not return within the timeframe noted above.
  • Initial eligibility will be based on the approved FAFSA results sent to the school, called an Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) that is on file for the 2026-2027 financial award year. An approved ISIR meeting the SAI criteria must be received by the school no later than 9 days following the student’s return date to be considered eligible.
  • A student’s cumulative grade point average will be based on the CGPA from the student’s last date of attendance
  • Student must be re-enrolling from a withdrawn status to the same department group previously attended.
