Continental Tire: Official Tire of Universal Technical Institute

Continental Tire supports education with training aids about tire construction and performance criteria. Continental also connects UTI students and graduates with their dealer network throughout the country.

Cox Automotive

Cox Automotive provides financial support to several UTI campuses and has branded classrooms at each of those locations.

CRC: Specialty Products Provider

CRC provides UTI with an annual product allowance for cleaners and lubricants. The brand also supplies the green eco-friendly SmartWasher parts washers seen around campus.

Crown Lift: Forklift Provider

Crown Lift provides forklifts and forklift maintenance for all UTI campuses and currently has branded rooms at 10 campus locations. They are also a proud employer of UTI grads.

Hendrick Automotive Group (HAG)

Along with hiring UTI graduates, Hendrick Automotive Group provides financial support to several UTI campuses and has branded classrooms at each of those locations.

HP Tuners

HP Tuners provides UTI with hardware and software tools designed to address various diagnostic, data logging and calibration needs for modern OBD vehicles that students train with in the classroom.

iRacing: Official racing simulation partner

iRacing is the official racing simulation partner of Universal Technical Institute. They support the NASCAR elective in Mooresville.

Interstate Batteries: Official Battery of UTI

Interstate Batteries provides all automotive, diesel and marine batteries to UTI and has branded classrooms and labs at all UTI campuses.

Lincoln Electric: Welding Provider

Lincoln Electric supports UTI’s welding program through curriculum development and providing the equipment students train on. They also offer equipment discounts for students.

Mechanix Wear: Glove Provider

Mechanix Wear provides gloves for UTI instructors, equipment for the pit crew courses and a special discount for UTI students.

Mitee-Bite: CNC Workholding Provider

Mitee-Bite provides innovative solutions to compete globally in advanced manufacturing. UTI's CNC Machining program benefits from an annual tooling allowance from the brand.

Mitsubishi Materials U.S.A.: CNC Tooling Provider

Mitsubishi Materials U.S.A. supports UTI’s CNC Machining program with technical training and tooling using DIAEDGE brand products.

NAPA: Preferred Auto Parts Supplier of UTI

NAPA supplies quality auto parts and accessories to UTI campuses nationwide.

NASCAR Racing Experience: Driving Experience Provider

In exchange for a branded classroom, UTI receives branded UTI race cars in the NASCAR Racing Experience fleet.

Roush Yates Engines: Power & Performance/CNC Provider

Roush Yates Engines has hired more than 100 graduates and provides high performance part donations. Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions has also been a key contributor to the CNC Machining program.

Shell: Official Lubricants Provider of UTI

Shell’s Pennzoil and Rotella brands provide all lubricants to UTI’s Automotive and Diesel programs. The brand also provides “life happens" fuel/Visa cards for students and $50,000+ in annual scholarships.

Snap-on: Tool Provider

UTI students train exclusively with Snap-on tools while on campus. Auto and diesel students who are near graduation and have no outstanding obligations to the school receive a Career Starter Tool Set Voucher, redeemable for a choice of Snap-on® tool sets.

Sonic Automotive: Car Sales Provider

Along with hiring UTI graduates, Sonic Automotive provides financial support to several UTI campuses and has branded classrooms at each of those locations.

Standard Motor Products: Automotive Products Provider

Standard Motor Products provides UTI instructors with continued training opportunities and UTI campuses with an allowance of parts from some of its brands, including Standard, Blue Streak, Hayden, and Four Seasons.

TravelCenters of America: Truck Stop and Travel Centers

TravelCenters of America provides financial support to UTI campuses and has branding at all campuses. They are also a proud employer of UTI grads.

WD-40 Company: Maintenance Product Provider

WD-40 Company provides UTI with specialty products including lubricants, penetrants, greases, degreasers and rust management products. They also offer UTI product training lunch and learns, student safety glasses and special graduation kits.

Salary information for North Carolina: The U.S. Department of Labor estimates the hourly median wage for skilled marine technicians in North Carolina is $23.11 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, May 2023 Occupational Employment and Wages, Motorboat Mechanics and Service Technicians). The Bureau of Labor Statistics does not publish entry-level salary data. However, the 25th and 10th percentile of hourly earnings in North Carolina are $17.96 and $14.25, respectively.32) Summer Ignite participants must satisfy standard eligibility criteria prior to acceptance into UTI.36) Students enrolled in select UTI programs are eligible to apply for the Early Employment Program.
