UTI Atlanta Housing Options

Starting school in a new city is an exciting step, and finding the right place to live should feel simple, not stressful. UTI Atlanta partners with EDURent to help students with shared or referral housing. Both options will keep you close to school, so your commute is short and manageable.

SHARED HOUSING

EDUrent partners with Rent.Live to place students in fully furnished apartments designed for shared living. Most apartments have two bedrooms and can house up to four students, with options for shared or private rooms.

The setup is simple and student-focused:

  • Individual lease: You only sign for your space—not your roommates’.
  • Utilities included: No separate bills to manage.
  • Fully furnished: Move in with just your essentials.
  • Monthly cleaning: Regular cleaning helps keep shared spaces fresh.
  • Roommate matching: Get paired with fellow UTI students through an online profile.
  • Flexible exit: Early lease cancellation is available with a 7-day notice + a fee equal to two months’ rent.

Who is shared housing right for?

  • Students moving to Atlanta on their own
  • Anyone who prefers a simple, all-inclusive living setup
  • Students who want support finding compatible roommates
  • Those excited to build friendships outside the classroom

REFERRAL HOUSING

If you’d rather live more independently, EDUrent’s Referral Housing Program can help you find living that fits your needs.

This route gives you more freedom to choose where and how you live. Students can explore options across the Atlanta area, including studios, one-bedrooms and larger units for groups who already have roommates in mind.

How It Works

  • You sign a standard lease (usually a joint lease if you live with roommates).
  • Utilities and furniture are not included, giving you flexibility to set things up your own way.
  • Roommate matching support is available if needed, though this program is often chosen by students who already have a partner, friend, family member or pet they want to live with.
  • Lease cancellation is allowed, but typically requires 30–90 days’ notice and may include fees up to two months’ rent.

Who is independent housing right for?

  • Students relocating with a partner, family member or pets
  • Anyone who wants more privacy or control over their space
  • Students willing to manage their own utilities, furniture and setup costs
  • Groups of friends who want to rent together
