Tesla START Collision Training Program

The Tesla START Collision Training Program internship program is an accelerated OEM training program designed to rapidly develop your skills in EV repair procedures and methods. This specialized training could help jumpstart a career path as a Tesla collision technician.

Paid Internship

The Tesla START Collision Training Program is a paid internship. This means that you will get paid to learn! You will work Monday-Friday (excluding recognized holidays) in a simulated work environment to prepare you to become a Tesla collision technician.

Relocation Assistance

Graduates that meet eligibility requirements can utilize relocation assistance to help offset moving costs for destinations that are greater than 50 miles from your home.

Entry-Level Skills

Hit the ground running! Graduates of the program will have foundational-level repair knowledge of Models S, 3, X and Y. You will have gained confidence through dedicated practice working with the Tesla lineup and their proprietary systems. Graduates of the program have shown the ability to hit productivity targets within the first 90 days of graduation.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED diploma, plus have completed core training in UTI’s Collision Repair & Refinish Technology (CRRT) program.

Strong attendance and academic performance

Tesla values students with a strong record of attendance and academic performance when considering applications for their EV repair training program. Students should maintain an 85% professionalism score and 3.0 GPA.

Accept employment at a Tesla collision center

Individuals applying to the program must be willing to work at one of Tesla’s 50+ collision centers after successfully completing the program.
