According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual salary for non-destructive technicians in the Houston area was $61,950 in May 2021.62 This means half earned more and half earned less. Keep in mind that salary depends on several factors, including experience, employer, demand and cost of living in the area.
There’s also a demand for qualified non-destructive testing technicians. In fact, total non-destructive testing technician employment is expected to exceed 78,000 by 2031.76
