Graduates earn a Diesel Technology diploma and complete a portion of the prerequisites needed for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification. 11 months of training at UTI counts toward one of the two years required to test for the credential!
Students who also take a Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training program earn associate of applied science degrees and manufacture-specific credentials.
Yes. UTI’s Career Services team helps students find part-time jobs while training and later provides resume development, interview prep and help networking with local employers. These services remain available even after you graduate!
To apply, you’ll need:
- A high school diploma, GED certificate or equivalent.
- Be 18 years or older (or at least 16 with guardian consent).
No prior mechanical experience or training is required. We’ll build your skills from the ground up.
