What Is UTI’s Electrical, Electronics, and Industrial Technology Program?

Universal Technical Institute’s EEIT program is designed to prepare students for careers in industries like technology, electrical, manufacturing, commercial, residential and more.1 Students are taught in a hands-on learning environment using the same techniques used by professionals in the field and have access to industry-standard tools to make it easier to transition to a career after graduation.

How Long Does the EEIT Program Take To Complete?

Our EEIT program is designed to be completed in just 12 months!

What Will I Learn in the EEIT Program at UTI?

Students enrolled in our EEIT program are taught industry-relevant topics to prepare them for careers in the electrical field. They cover electrical fundamentals, industrial manufacturing equipment and technology, and electronics training.

Where Is the EEIT Program Offered?

The EEIT program is currently offered at four campuses: Exton, Pennsylvania; Houston, Texas; Mooresville, North Carolina; and Rancho Cucamonga, California.

What Kind of Jobs Can I Pursue After Completing the EEIT Program?

Grads from our Electrical, Electronics, and Industrial Technology program are prepared to pursue entry-level roles. As with any industry, over time, they may be able to advance in their careers with experience and hard work.77 UTI’s electrical programs do not prepare graduates for employment as electricians, and graduates will not be eligible for certification as an electrician without additional training and meeting state licensing requirements.

Do I Need Experience Before Enrolling in the EEIT Program?

No prior experience is needed to enroll in our Electrical, Electronics, and Industrial Technology program. We’ve designed our electrical training to build a foundation of knowledge from the ground up, which means it’s suitable for all skill levels!

What Certifications or Credentials Can I Earn?

While enrolled in the EEIT program, students can earn the American Heart Association’s (AHA) certification for CPR and AED use, as well as the OSHA 10 certification for workplace safety.

Students also have the opportunity to graduate with five National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) credentials: Core, Electrical Levels 1 & 2, plus Electronic Systems Technician Levels 3 & 4.

How Much Does the EEIT Program Cost?

The cost of the EEIT program can vary depending on the campus and any financial aid applied to tuition costs. Scholarships, loans or grants may be available to those who qualify.10

How Do I Enroll in the EEIT Program at UTI? 

Students interested in joining our electrical training program need to meet the general admission requirements for all programs. Applicants must be at least 16 years old (with parental consent if under 18) and hold a high school diploma or GED. Enrollment can be completed by filling out our online form.
