BMW FastTrack Overview

FastTrack is 12 weeks of intensive BMW-specific training on current models of some of the world’s most sophisticated driving machines — including the Z4, X1, X3, X5, X6, 3, 5, 6 and 7 Series automobiles. You’ll learn the latest engine electronics on twin turbo, direct injection engines.

CREDENTIALS

FastTrack sets you up for an accelerated career with BMW. Earn up to seven factory credentials and achieve BMW Level IV technician status.

  • Learn the BMW technical information system (TIS), and BMW diagnosis and information systems used in today’s dealer and service centers.

  • BMW Body Electronics I
  • Learn BMW-approved procedures to service charging and starting systems, vehicle battery and electronic systems.

  • BMW Engine Electronics and New Engine Technology
  • Focus on BMW's newest engine models, with emphasis on OEM-approved disassembly, service and repair procedures.

  • BMW Undercar Technology and Chassis Dynamics
  • Perform chassis service procedures, alignment, strut removal and installation; gain proficiency on advanced wheel balancing equipment; and learn BMW-approved brake service procedures.

Manufacturer Paid

The 16-week BMW Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training (MSAT) program provides select UTI students with extensive training on BMW vehicles. BMW pays for the training to prepare graduates for jobs working directly for BMW at BMW dealers nationwide.

Credentials

Graduates of the BMW STEP program enter their careers as Level III BMW technicians and earn 8 factory credentials, placing them years ahead of other BMW entry-level technicians.

  • Using the latest Engine Management Systems, you’ll diagnose and repair all types of BMW engine technologies including, turbo charging, direct high pressure fuel injection, and Valvetronic.

  • Learn BMW-approved procedures to service charging and starting systems, vehicle battery and electronic systems.

  • Learn CAN BUS systems, Power Management and Car Access Systems (Vehicles Immobilizers)

  • BMW Undercar Technology and Chassis Dynamics
  • Perform chassis service procedures, alignment, strut removal and installation; gain proficiency on advanced wheel balancing equipment; and learn BMW-approved brake service procedures.
