Diesel & Industrial Technology Training Program

This 45-week core program focuses on the powerful vehicles and machines vital to the operation of businesses: tractor-trailers, trains, construction equipment, forklifts, transportation refrigeration systems and more. Within these machines, you’ll learn about air brakes, hydraulics, preventative maintenance and the computers that control their operation.

Diesel and industrial technicians are often in high-demand with dealers and manufacturers alike. Our hands-on labs are state-of-the-industry classrooms where you’ll find equipment and instructors ready to prepare you for a rewarding career.

Core Program Length

The Diesel & Industrial Technology core program is 45 weeks long. Classes start approximately every 6 weeks. Contact your preferred campus for the next available session.

Electives

In addition to your 45-week core program, you can also learn more specific expertise with certain manufacturers. Not all campuses offer these electives. Please contact your preferred campus to determine which electives are available. The Automotive Technology electives can also be added to Diesel & Industrial core program.

• Cummins Diesel Training Elective (CDTP) (additional 12 weeks)
• Daimler Trucks Technician Elective (DTNA)(additional 12 weeks)
• International Technician Education Elective (ITEP) (additional 6 weeks)

Combined Core Programs

Automotive+Diesel Program
If you combine Automotive Technology Training and Diesel Technology Training, your core program length is 69 weeks. The electives listed above would be added to the end of this longer program.

Automotive+Diesel+Industrial Program
If you combine Automotive Technology Training, Diesel Technology Training and Industrial Technology Training, your core program length is 75 weeks. The electives listed above would be added to the end of this program.

MSAT Post-graduate Program
After graduation from UTI, you can apply for acceptance into the high-demand International ITEP Manufacturer Specific Advanced Training (MSAT) program. This 14-week program will earn you 44+ factory training credits, putting you years ahead of other entry-level technicians.
