Student Support

Whether you need help finding out if you qualify for a loan or tuition reimbursement; finding a part-time job while you train; or locating affordable housing near campus, Student Support Services is dedicated
to helping you succeed at NASCAR Tech.

The NTI Student Services offices are available to help you maintain a balance. We arrange activities both on campus and off, including annual motor-sport events, field trips to area attractions, and tournaments such as basketball, volleyball, softball, bowling, and pool.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial Aid is available to those who qualify. You may be eligible to qualify for various Federal Student Aid programs such as the subsidized Stafford Loan, the Perkins Loan Program, the PLUS Loan, the Supplementary Education Opportunity Grant Program (SEOG), and the Pell Grant program (PELL). You may also be eligible for benefits under the Workforce Investment Act, Trade Agreement Act or Vocational Rehabilitation. If desired, you may arrange to make payments to the

school while attending NASCAR Tech or after graduation. For more details on financial assistance and to see if you qualify, contact
the NASCAR Tech Financial Aid department.

GRADUATE EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE

When you graduate, we make every effort to place you in the geographic area of your choice; however,  ASCAR Tech cannot guarantee jobs. As part of your graduation, we provide you with a complete Job Hunting Guide, a professional résumé and a job list. We also offer continuing use of graduate employment services whenever you need them throughout your career as an automotive technician.

LOCAL EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE

NASCAR Tech continually develops and maintains lists of local employers interested in hiring NASCAR Tech students for a variety of miscellaneous part-time jobs. Current listings of job openings are posted on campus

bulletin boards. It is your responsibility to find and maintain employment if desired while you are a student.

SCHOLARSHIPS

NASCAR Tech students may be eligible to apply for scholarships with financial awards ranging from $1,000 to $15,000. These include the Mobil 1, Martin/Lovendahl, UPS Tech Edge and Randy Dorton scholarships. Each of these scholarships requires a certain level of academic achievement and class attendance in addition

to various other requirements. Scholarships available to students not yet attending NASCAR Tech include the Grave Digger and NHRA/UTI scholarships. In total, UTI awards and sponsors more than $11 million a year in scholarships for its students. Qualifying for these scholarships is based on need, merit, technical skills or a combination thereof. A variety of requirements range from essays and videos to multiple-choice tests and
“hands-on” technical competitions. For more information about any of these or other available scholarship programs, contact your Educational Representative or check out our schlarships here.

T.R.I.P. (TUITION REIMBURSEMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM)

Because the demand for NASCAR Tech graduates is so great, many companies offer to pay back the loans of graduates they hire. T.R.I.P. helps participating companies attract and retain top technicians.
