UTI - Universal Technical Institute

Are you drawn to boats? The sights and sounds of a marina, the throaty roar of a powerful boat skimming across the water? If so, you're not alone. Whether you're interested in working at a marina, a boat yard, a yacht club, or park, Marine Mechanics Institute or MMI Marine for short, can help you become an entry-level marine technician.

Do you like being outdoors? Are you drawn to boats and the sights and sounds of a marina? What about the roar of a powerful boat skimming across the water? Our Marine Technician Specialist program provides the knowledge and skills you need to become an entry-level marine technician.

Whether you're interested in working at a marina, a boat yard, a yacht club, or park, the Marine Mechanics Institute's Marine Technician Specialist program provides the knowledge and skills you need to become an entry-level marine technician.

Our marine industry relationships and manufacturer programs have allowed us to build a nationwide network of companies looking to hire our graduates all across the country. While employment cannot be guaranteed, we place an emphasis on assisting graduates in beginning careers in the marine field and will continue to support graduates throughout their career with employment assistance.

Marine technicians today need to know about the complex systems of several different engines. One day you're working on a Honda outboard. The day after that you're working on a Yamaha four-stroke. A week later you're dealing with a Cummins MerCruiser diesel. It's challenging but it's also exciting, rewarding, and a whole lot of fun.
