Message From the CEO...
Industry demand for professional technicians is strong and UTI is a market leader in meeting this demand. More than 100,000 professional technicians have graduated from UTI in the past 20 years. On average there are five job opportunities available for each UTI graduate and 87 percent* of our graduates gain employment within their chosen field during the first 12 months after graduation.
The success of our graduates has afforded UTI the opportunity to partner with many leading original equipment manufacturers. Creating new industry relationships helps to drive student growth and increase our capacity utilization. This past year, UTI formed a new relationship with Nissan North America and we now offer Nissan programs at three campuses. We also signed a three-year agreement with Cummins Rocky Mountain for a diesel training program that will begin in the second quarter of fiscal 2007. We believe there is increased demand for diesel technicians and these opportunities should continue to drive student interest in our diesel programs. We will continue to seek new business opportunities with industry that will benefit our students and enhance our business model.
We are optimistic about where the road leads. UTI is focused on operating with a balance of efficiency and effectiveness that serves our industry customers, students and shareholders. We travel forward with our purpose at heart, changing the world one life at a time by helping people achieve their dreams.
We appreciate the confidence and support of our shareholders, employees, industry customers and students as we navigate the road ahead.
