Grants & Scholarships for Women in Trades
There are several scholarships and grants for women in trades.10 UTI offers the Empowering Women through STEM Grant—available to female, non-binary and female-identifying women considering trade school. We are also making over $15 million in scholarships and grants available to those who qualify this year.

Skilled trade careers require hands-on work, but strength isn’t the key to success. Many tasks rely on problem-solving, precision and skill. Modern advancements in tools and technology have made jobs for women in trades more accessible than ever. Women in the skilled trades are thriving and proving that success is about technical ability, not gender.
How long it takes to complete a trade school program can vary. At UTI, you’ll receive focused training that covers exactly what you need to know for your career and ranges from 7-24 months, depending on the program.
Trade careers often require less time to train for, meaning you’ll only pay for 1-2 years of school versus four. You’ll also graduate sooner, so you can pursue roles in your industry quicker.
Most UTI campuses offer morning, afternoon and evening classes to help accommodate students. An Admissions Representative can help you find the best-fit schedule for the campus and program you’re interested in.
