GRADUATE TESTIMONIALS

Turning Wrenches into Wins | The Papini Brothers Racing Story

The Papini brothers never pictured themselves building race cars, but now they can’t imagine doing anything else.

From the beginning, Richard and Robert Papini were immersed in hands-on learning. Their earliest memories were spent in the garage with their father, restoring classic cars from the ground up.

When the Roar of the Engine Became a Calling

As kids, they were captivated by how things worked. That curiosity grew into a passion the first time they watched a NASCAR race from the grandstands, the roar of the engines rattling their bones and lighting a fire they couldn’t ignore. They didn’t just want to watch fast cars – they wanted to build them, fix them and make them faster.

High school auto shop gave them a place to grow their skills and confidence, but it was Universal Technical Institute that changed everything. UTI wasn’t just a trade school – it was the launchpad they needed.1,6

Training That Pushed Them Forward

Automotive training at UTI gave Richard and Robert the skills and knowledge to turn passion into a profession. They didn’t just learn the fundamentals – they dove deep into diagnostics, performance tuning and manufacturer-specific training that prepared them for the real world. The lessons stuck, and so did the drive to do more.

From Students to Speed Enthusiasts

Today, they’ve built more than a business. They’ve built a life doing what they love—solving problems, pushing limits and creating machines that leave the starting line and don’t look back.
