UTI Sponsored Scholarships

Universal Technical Institute provides students with more than $12 million annually in scholarship assistance* through internal scholarships and partnerships with other organizations dedicated to connecting qualified students with technical training. These scholarships are awarded as direct tuition reductions.

*UTI scholarships are available to eligible students who apply and qualify. Some scholarships are not available to Pennsylvania residents and UTI-Exton students due to state regulations. The UTI Foundation offers scholarships for which Pennsylvania residents and Exton students may be eligible. Click here for details.

NASCAR Tech Scholarships

NASCAR Technical Institute sponsors two scholarship programs specifically for students at the school.

NASCAR Diversity Scholarship: $3,500

Eligibility Students who feel they can create positive change in the racing industry through advancement of diversity initiatives are encouraged to apply. Enrolled students must meet all admissions requirements for NASCAR Technical Institute programs and ALL the following guidelines:

  • Have an approved Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the appropriate year (A NASCAR Tech Financial Aid Department representative is available to answer questions about the FAFSA process at 1-888-416-2722.)
  • Be enrolled to begin courses between 10/1/2013 and 9/30/2014
  • Have clearly expressed how he or she will contribute to the furthering of diversity and how this will benefit racing
  • Submit your application by the appropriate deadline

How to Apply Students must complete an application, including a written essay, and submit it to the UTI Scholarship Department. The essay portion should be about 250 words in length and answer two key questions:

  1. How can you, as a student, further NASCAR’s diversity initiative?
  2. How can increasing the diversity in motorsports benefit NASCAR?

NASCAR “Tech of Tomorrow” Scholarship: $2,500

Eligibility NASCAR and every employer that hires NASCAR Technical Institute's graduates are looking for the perfect blend of technical skills and attitude. Enrolled students must meet all admissions requirements for the NASCAR Tech programs and ALL the following guidelines:

  • Have an approved Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the appropriate year (A NASCAR Tech Financial Aid Department representative is available to answer questions about the FAFSA process at 1-888-416-2722.)
  • Have exhibited financial need through information provided in your FAFSA
  • Be enrolled to begin courses between 10/1/2013 and 9/30/2014
  • Clearly expressed the skills and traits that make a successful NASCAR team and how you will use this scholarship and your training at NASCAR Tech to develop those traits
  • Submit your application by the appropriate deadline

How to Apply Students must complete an application, including a written essay, and submit it to the UTI Scholarship Department. The essay portion should be about 150 words in length and answer these key questions:

  1. What are the skills and personality traits needed to make a great NASCAR team?
  2. How do you exhibit those traits?
  3. How would this scholarship help you to develop those skills and traits for a successful career as an automotive technician?
