Scholarships Through Imagine America

UTI provides scholarships through the Imagine America Foundation that are available to high school and adult students.

High School Seniors: $1,000

Eligibility

The Imagine America Foundation recommends you review the following suggested guidelines:

  • Likelihood of successful completion of postsecondary education
  • High school grade point average of 2.5 or better
  • Financial need
  • Demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year

How to Apply

Go to Imagine-America.org, select Universal Technical Institute as the school you wish to attend, and complete an online application form. Your application will be forwarded to a guidance counselor or Imagine America contact at your high school who will review your application. If approved, your application will be forwarded to UTI for confirmation. 
Note: As with many scholarships, your award is contingent on your ability to meet UTI’s general admissions requirements and complete any required pre-admissions testing and applications.

Adult Skills Education Program Scholarships: $1,000

Eligibility

Adult students interested in applying for an Imagine America scholarship must meet the following guidelines:

  • Be enrolling in a participating career college
  • Meet eligibility requirements of the college
  • Must have a financial need
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Be at least 19 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED, or pass an Ability to Benefit test
  • Not be a previous recipient of any other Imagine America Foundation scholarships/awards
  • Complete the National Center for Competency Testing’s Educational Success Potential Assessment

How to Apply

Go to Imagine-America.org, select Universal Technical Institute as the school you wish to attend and complete an online application form. Applicants must complete the Educational Success Potential Assessment. If approved, your application will be forwarded to UTI for confirmation.
