Marine Manufacturer Courses

MMI's Marine Technician Specialist Program is designed to give you a solid understanding of marine mechanics and technology through hands-on experience.  Each course focuses on a specific manufacturer's products and technologies to help you build a solid foundation.

These marine manufacturer courses are included in your 51-week Marine core program.

• Marine Honda: Learn about the Honda four-stroke outboard and ignition systems using Honda’s special outboard tools.
• Mercury MercTech: Become an entry-level technician in the Mercury Marine dealer network with your knowledge of the MerCruiser engine
• Marine Suzuki: Learn about the Suzuki two-stroke and four-stroke engines using their specialty outboard tools.
• Marine Volvo Penta: Train on the Volvo Penta diesel, outboard and diesel/gasoline sterndrive engines.
• Marine Yamaha: Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot the fuel, oil-injection and engine systems of Yamaha’s marine products.
